Yakushimabryum longissimum H.Akiyama, Y.Chang, T.Yamagu. & B.C.Tan is proposed as a new synonym of Aptychella tonkinensis (Broth. & Paris) Broth. Morphological comparisons and phylogenetic analysis based on chloroplast rbcL gene sequences supported our taxonomic treatment.
