ノート

• アジアからヨーロッパ，アフリカ北部，北アメリカに分布し，日本では近畿以西と四国に分布する．地中海気候に多い．
• 日本国内の分布についてはSaito (1973)やInoue et al.（2011）が報告．
• 人家や果実園，畑など窒素分の多い土上に生育．
• 蒴（さく; 胞子体）を良くつける．春に成熟する．
• 蒴歯は退化的で，ほとんどないか，痕跡的．
• 外見は，ツリガネゴケ属Physcomitriumやハリガネゴケ属Bryumに類似．蒴（さく）がないと間違いやすい．
• 本種の学名についてはRos et al. (2008)に細述．
