- A clonal unit of a genet that is, at least potentially, independent from other ramets. Cf. genet.
Glossary of Ecology (6th ed.) by Krebs (2009)
- an individual derived by asexual reproduction from a single original zygote, which is able to live independently if separated from the parent organism. Compare with genet.
