• 日本では関東以西の暖地で庭木，公園樹，鉢植えで利用される．香川県や岡山県では果樹栽培される．
• 葉は3-6 cmで細い．表が灰緑色，裏が銀白色なため木全体が青白く見える．
• 果実は紅紫から黒紫色に熟す．
• 東広島キャンパスでは教育学部付近に植栽されている．

• Leaves are 3-6 cm long and thin. Leaves 3-6 cm long, grayish green on the front and silvery white on the back, making the whole tree look pale.
• Fruit ripen from reddish purple to blackish purple.
• On the Higashi-Hiroshima Campus, those trees are planted near the School of Education.
