Glossary of "Biogeography (9th ed.)" by Cox et al. (2016)
- A line that connects the separate ranges of a set of related taxa, used in the theory of panbiogeography (q.v.). Where a number of unrelated sets of taxa show identical tracks, this is known as a generalized track; where these run across ocean basins, they are known as ocean baselines.
