センボンゴケ''Pottia intermedia'' (Turner) Fürnr の新たな産地を報告する．本種は世界的に広く分布し，国内では近畿以西の本州および四国，九州で報告されているが比較的稀な頂蘚類であり，今回本州（広島）および四国（香川・愛媛）の8 か所で新たに生育を確認した．本種は日当たりの良い畑の土上に生育している．今回得られた標本にもとづいて形態解析図およびこれまで正確に記載されていない日本産のものについての蒴歯や胞子，葉細胞の電子顕微鏡写真を与えると共に，本種の系統的位置についても言及した．
