Abstract

Tsubota, H., Yoshino, N. & Nishida, S. 2012. Mosses of Nagoya University Museum Botanical Garden: a preliminary report. Bull. Nagoya Univ. Museum 28: 129–132.

Mosses of the Nagoya University Museum Botanical Garden, Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, were collected and identified. Nine species were recognized along the main trail in the western part of the garden. Among the specimens, three of them were found on a tree trunk, three were on the ground, one was on an algae mat in a water pool, and two were in a green house. Considering that still more diverse habitats are left unexplored, there will be more species to be found in the garden by further studies.
